Beyond Dreams has been an amazing organization that not only offers a scholarship to Dreamers, but also a community that re-enforces the importance of keeping one’s culture alive. Along with giving us the tools to educate ourselves in topics that are not often talked about in Hispanic or Latin American households. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be involved in my community as a volunteer through Beyond Dreams, and for having the opportunity to gain skills in Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Financial Literacy, Mental Health, etc. I believe that our community needs more organizations like Beyond Dreams who are looking out for students like me and helping us build a better future in our community and culture. My time with Beyond Dreams has been a great experience. The workshops we led and took part of provided insight to various topics that I wouldn't normally explore. Topics like financial education, mental health, nutritional awareness and the mechanics behind a Co-Op. On top of that, the trip to Milpitas was another great experience where we got to give back to the greater Tucson community.
